So, it's official. We're moving to Cincinnati! I never thought I'd be able to utter those words and mean it, but I am glad I can. Around the middle of March is the expected launch date. Our house sale closes on February 29th and our apartment in Cincinnati won't be available until March 31st, so we're going to live with my parents for about 2 weeks or so until our place is available. Since we have to sign a one year lease, that is pretty perfect for us, since we want to get situated in Cincy and with new jobs before we buy our new house. I am just thrilled to be able to go back to work and start school and not have to worry about who is taking care of my son.
I am on a crazy dash to find a new job up there, one flexible enough for me to be able to go to school in the evenings. It really shouldn't be too hard, but it's difficult to do since I am still 700 miles away.
Boy, do we have a lot to do. In the midsts of selling our house and getting things up to par, we also have to pack, make sure we have things in order with bills, banks, etc. Fly my father down so that he can drive our U-Haul to Ohio (since I don't trust Chris to drive something that big and my dad's a truck driver anyways), get rid of a bunch of useless crap just taking up space, figure out what we're going to do with all of our things while we're waiting for our apartment to become available, get new jobs and make sure Chris doesn't get lost in the city! I think I may buy him a Garmin GPS so that he can get around and not have to worry about getting lost.
I am so excited, but unfortunately I can't say the same about my friends here. Kayla and Katelyn don't want me to go, but that's ok. Maybe I will come visit, or they can come visit us or something. But I am definitely not staying here, that's for sure. We're supposed to have a 'Going Away Party' or something.
Well, I'm going to work on my list of things to do in preparation of moving to Cincy! Wish me luck!
