So, let's catch people up on the new happenings. The perspective buyer we had for our house is now unable to buy it. They are our neighbors and have bought two other houses on the block and were going buy ours as well. Well, after starting the paperwork and making the plans to move to Cincinnati (which hasn't changed) they suddenly can't buy it. I guess owning three houses can drain a persons bank account. Who knew? Well, I was irritated to say the least. Not only did it take months just to get the ball rolling selling them our house but now they can't and it's all just been a waste of time. Luckily for us, our realtor thinks he can have our house sold in only a matter of weeks, which is great for us since we don't want to extend our Cincinnati deadline. Starting Monday we're having people come in and repaint the interior of the house to spruce it up a bit for the new potential owners.
So, we have an apartment lined up in Cincinnati near my parents. It's going to be a huge change going from a house to an apartment but that's no big deal. We've sold a lot of stuff that we don't need so we shouldn't have a problem with storage. We're only going to sign a year lease for the apartment and in a year, after we've settled in Cincy we're going to buy a house and it's going to be awesome. Be jealous, be very jealous! We were planning to pay our rent a year in advance for the apartment, but for some strange reason, they don't do that. Why not? I mean, don't you want guaranteed rent paid on time? Oh well, whatever.
My realtor just called and gave me little to no notice that there will be people stopping by to see our house. Wonderful. NOT! We're in the process of packing and there are boxes and stuff everywhere. /sigh
I guess that means I should stop blogging and be prepared to have strangers looking through our house. I feel so violated.
