Yesterday while I was checking out a local website we have to try and find a good home for our dog, I came across a post that pissed me off so much that I would personally love to rip the vocal cords from each and every person involved and do a number of other things to. I am sure by now most, if not all, people are familiar with the murder of Maria Lauterbach and her eight month old fetus and how terrible it is, but who knew that people would celebrate something like this? And, of all people be strongly committed to religion. I may be religion ignorant, but the religious people I know pray for situations like these and hope the best for everyone, good and bad. I, myself, am not religious in the least. I have never welcomed religion into my life and I never will and people like this remind me all the time why. The Westboro Baptist church is planning a
protest at Camp Lejeune. This is straight from their picketing schedule

And they had this to say:
"WBC to picket Camp Lejeune.
God Hates the U.S. Marines.
The wonderful, spit-and-polish Marine is over
eight months pregnant and she says another
wonderful Marine raped her, and now on the
eve of his court martial where she is the star
witness against him, she turns up dead, and he
is a fugitive from justice. Wonderful. The few.
The proud. Based on our extensive experience
with Marines for over a decade, we can testify
that these are typical Marines.
WBC will picket the filthy, lawless Marine
Corps - at noon next Sat., Jan. 19 - at Camp
Lejeune, North Carolina; in religious protest

Ergo, God hates the Marines.
The Marine Corps is saturated with vile fags and dykes. It matters not
to them that they are violating the laws of God and man. Our leaders
know of the problem, but they refuse to fix it, due to pressure from
political leaders, because fags have enormous political influence - called
in Scripture "The power of the dog." Psa.22:20. And the phenomenon
is called by Tocqueville, "The worm in the American apple."

If this is how they feel -- that God "hates the Marines" -- then why must they protest outside of our military base? If it is true, then isn't it enough that this woman and her fetus is dead? Isn't that enough "proof" from God? The WBC mustn't feel this way because they find the need to have to protest, signs in hand, near our main gate with signs of hatred. They hate the same military that has given them the freedom to make such bullshit remarks. "God protect them because the Marine Corps shouldn't". Too bad when our troops get deployed to Iraq and elsewhere that we can't choose which Americans they can fight for and which ones they can't.
So, since I live in Jacksonville, NC which is where this all takes place, I think on that Saturday I may take a break from my and Kayla's yard sale to drive by and see what's going on and possibly take my new 30gb HDD video camera and catch their stupidity on video so that you can see what it's like.
Although my husband is recently honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, I am no way one of your "typical, motivated 'Marine Wives'", but people and circumstances like this makes me want to rip the heads off all those who take the lives of the people who protect their worthless lives for granted. It's a vicious circle. It has been a very long time since I have felt such a desire like this to speak up and out against human stupidity and ignorance. My husband, friends, friends' husbands and family members didn't go to Iraq and elsewhere, put their lives in danger for the assholes of America like these to celebrate deaths of any troop from any branch. There is enough going on in the middle east that our own country should be the least of our problems. Domestic hatred against the very people who gave you your rights. It's also too bad that when a troop gets shot, blown up, etc. for the freedom of the morons who take their rights for granted that instead of that troop dying, a selfish, ignorant member of the WBC or similar groups die instead. Grr!
